28th Feb 2007 The satisfactory relief on RSTCs and GSM mobile
connections ordered after persistent persual by the Association after "ONE INDIA" scheme for RSTC. BSNL Corporate office issues
orders for Plan 525 for service GSM connections in place of Plan 225. Facility for certification of service calls withdrawn
in the original order has also now been restored for GSM Service connections. These measures will provide sufficient relief
to the Executives .

salient features of the New Promotion Policy
(1) Attendant conditions
for Time Bound Promotions have been approved in toto as recommended by the Committee. (2) Eligibility for Functional Promotion
approved in toto as per the report of the Committee. (3) Recruitment of STS officers will be in the ratio 50:25:25.( Seniority
cum Fitness: Internal Competitive Exam: External Competitive Exam) (4) Residential period for those whose pay scales
are revised at par with the Engg.Officers after 1-10-2000 will be reckoned from 1-10-2000.(5) Recruitment rules of TES Grp'B'
have been changed from the ratio 3:1 to 2:1 ( Seniority cum Fitness; Internal Competitive Exam) (6) Double fixation benefits
has been approved by the Director Board. However a decision on this will be taken by the DOT.
10th Oct 2006 DOT has received clearance from the Ministry of Finance regarding payment of CGEGIS. Formal
orders for payment of CGEGIS ( saving portion) shall be issued very shortly.
Dispassionate plea to reconsider decision of outside recruitment at STS - The most relevant argument is that, in every CPSU, the recruitment
in the executive category takes place only at the base level only i.e in BSNL at the level of JTO. Thereafter, there is absolutely
no rationale in lateral induction at any other level....In case the Management makes an honest and forthright effort to view
the whole issue , it inevitably shall also come to the conclusion that, instead of having outside recruitment at STS, it is
highly appropriate and desirable, and in the best interests of the Organization, to allow young and talented people, already
available in the Organization, to go to the STS through rigorous screening.Inthis regard GS has written to CMD.

Surrender of PCOs!
Really a Threat to our existence !.
of PCO's is taking place on such a mass scale that it has become a red signal for BSNL's
existance as PCOs are the major source of revenue to BSNL.Our field units are requested to identify the exact problems
leading to such mass exodus. CMD has asked GS to immediately give specific inputs to the BSNL Management that will
help in arresting this exodus. Let us all understand the great significance of retaining PCOs and let us all get involved
whole heartedly and not superficially in stopping this dangerous trend. Field units are requested to send their suggestions
immediately to GS in the email id email@example.com , firstname.lastname@example.org so that the same can be discussed with the BSNL Management and appropriate remedial actions be taken.
Comrades consider this matter as most urgent and act accordingly.

Orders have been issued for the payment of Productivity Linked Bonus for
the year 2005-06. For Non-Executive Employees the minimum is Rs.7000/ and maximum Rs.25000/- For Executive Employees the minimum
is Rs.10000/ and maximum Rs.25000/- .Bonus will also be paid to unabsorbed employees and the Bonus is on the basis of CDA
scale for unabsorbed employees. Bonus calculation is 1.4 times the basic pay as on 1-3-2006 for all.
